About

Hello I’m Marvin Ensor, and I’m the voice behind wayzada.com. My journey to this blog has been a winding one, but the end point has always been the same: helping everyday people make confident buying decisions. I grew up in a small town not far from a mid-sized city, where gadgets, gear and getting outdoors were staples in our household.

From a young age I found myself tinkering with whatever came into the house whether that was a new kitchen appliance, a camping lantern, or a piece of audio gear. Over time I realized I was less interested in the “shiny new thing” per se, and more interested in how things actually worked in the real world: how durable that camper’s tent was after three winters, or whether that blender really lasted past the one-year mark.

My Background

After finishing high school, I attended university and studied Industrial Design with a minor in Consumer Behavior. I chose that path because I was curious not just about what people buy, but why they buy it and how design can bridge the gap between aspiration and everyday use.

After graduating, I spent about five years in product development at a mid-sized outdoor gear company; my role involved prototyping, field-testing, and collaborating with engineering and marketing teams. That hands-on experience taught me to ask questions like: “If we ship this product halfway around the world, will it still work in humidity or heavy snow?” and “What happens when a customer uses it in a way we didn’t foresee?”

In 2020 I made a shift: I moved into a role where I consulted for small electronics startups, helping them refine features and user-experience. It was a rewarding role but I found myself missing the one-to-many reach of blogging the ability to share insights and help a wider audience.

Why Wayzada and Why Product Reviews

In 2025 I launched wayzada.com with a clear mission: honest product reviews, rooted in real-world usage insights, and delivering practical buying advice. The name “Wayzada” is playful and memorable I liked the idea of combining “way” (as in a path or method) with a zippy ending to signal energy and approachability. It felt like a brand open to many categories: tech, home-goods, outdoor gear, kitchen appliances, and beyond.

What you’ll find here isn’t just a spec-sheet rewrite or a rehash of a manufacturer’s claims. Instead, I test things myself when possible (or rely on trusted, documented user experience), I dig into common pain-points, and I try to answer questions like: “Will this still perform next year?” or “Is this the right model for someone on a budget, or someone who needs durability?” I aim to talk to you like a friend who’s done the homework and wants to save you time, money, and hassle.

Where I Am Now

These days I live just outside a mid-sized city (in the U.S.) with my partner and a small rescue dog who insists on being part of every gear-review photo. I still take weekend trips camping, kayaking, exploring local trails because nothing beats a hands-on test in the field. But many of my review sessions take place at home: in the kitchen, on the patio, in my little workshop. So whether I’m trying out a new beverage maker, a rugged backpack, or a smart-home device, you’ll see both “in-the-wild” and “around-the-house” perspectives.

What You Can Expect

On wayzada.com you’ll find deep-dives into products, clear pros and cons, real usage tips (and yes I’ll call out when something doesn’t live up to hype). I’ll help you figure out not just what to buy, but why and for whom. If you have questions or want feedback on something I’ve reviewed, I’m just an email away. I believe transparency matters: if I’ve received a product free or at a discount, I’ll let you know. But I promise that all opinions are my own.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you’ll find wayzada.com to be a reliable place when you’re shopping, curious, or comparing options. I’m here to help you navigate the noise, and to give you my real-world take so you can shop smarter.
